Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Five people died and 10 more were injured in a collision between a combi and a private truck along the Felipe Carrillo Puerto – Tulum section of highway.
Security and rescue bodies from Tulum responded to the accident. On site, the bodies of five deceased were found. The van was transporting Chedraui supermarket workers when it collided with the truck.
Preliminary reports say the driver of the van was attempting to pass a vehicle ahead of him when he crashed head-on with the oncoming truck. The five deceased were from inside the van. The driver of the van was one of the five killed.
The van was on its way to Tulum from Felipe Carrillo Puerto with a load of workers. Elements from the National Guard attended to the scene of the accident.
