Five removed from public streets with loaded weapons

Tulum, Q.R. — A total of five people were arrested from Tulum streets on Monday after authorities found them with weapons. One of the stops included two men on a motorcycle who were found carrying a loaded homemade submachine gun. Detained was 21-year-old Gerardo N and 27-year-old David N.

Police then located another group of three who were transferred to city jail after a search of their vehicle revealed a loaded .38 caliber revolver. One of the two men arrested is believed to be the leader of Los Cebúes criminal group.

Jailed was 24-year-old Angel N, 19-year-old Karla N and 30-year-old Joel N, the man believed head of Los Cebúes.
