Tulum, Q. R. — The first days of the New Year has already recorded a business fire in Tulum. On Sunday morning, firemen responded to the report of flames at the Funky Burrito Pool Bar.
The eatery and bar, which is located near the north entrance of the city, was nearly completely consumed by flames. Firemen did their best to extinguish the burning wooden building, however, only a shell of the business remains.
The entire front of the structure was eaten by flames despite the thousands of liters of water used in an attempt to put them out. A portion of the rear was less damaged. Six people who were at site when the fire started were evacuated.
No injuries have been reported. A possible cause for the fire was not provided.
