Cancun, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has begun an investigation into the death of a Venezuelan woman in the bathroom of a hotel in downtown Cancun.
In an informative release, it was announced that the case is being handled by the Special Prosecutor for Investigation and Persecution of the Crime of Femicide. They report that at 1:12 p.m. the Command, Control, Communication and Computing Center (C4) received the report of a suicide in a hotel located in SM 22.
In the report, it was specified that local personnel reported finding a woman passed out in the bathroom in one of the rooms with apparent (suicide) cuts to her arms. The death of the woman was confirmed by paramedics, but at the time, the cause was not specified.
The woman has been identified through her passport as 31-year-old Rosibel N from Maracay, Venezuela.
