Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — A woman wanted for the kidnapping of a local Othón P. Blanco man later found dead has been charged. Quintana Roo authorities reported on the arrest of Emely Arlen “N” after being located in the state of Tabasco.
She has been charged in the August 2023 aggravated kidnapping of a man then demanding 400,000 pesos for his release.

Police say Emely Arlen “N” has been charged “for events that occurred on August 5, 2023, when the victim, male, left his home in the town of San Pedro Peralta in his vehicle to go to his workplace located on the Chetumal-Escárcega federal highway,” they said.
He was later seen driving from his place of employment in the company of Emely Arlen “N”. Police said “hours later the victim’s mother received a phone call from her son’s cell phone in which Abel “N” told her that they had kidnapped him and demanded 400,000 pesos to release him.”
According to police, the victim’s mother received several phone calls demanding money, the last communication being on August 8, 2023. On October 19 of the same year, the lifeless body of the man was found on the Xpujil-Campeche highway.
Emely Arlen “N” was served with an arrest warrant in the state of Tabasco and returned to Quintana Roo. She has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and ordered to remain jailed during her trial.
