Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Eight people were injured in a two vehicle accident near the entrance to Calderitas. Six people were hospitalized, three with serious injuries. Traffic was affected for more than two hours while emergency services cleared the scene.
The accident happened Monday afternoon at the entrance to the community of Calderitas. The accident is reportedly the result of one driver running an intersection stop sign. A private car and public taxi collided.
As a result, eight people were injured, six of who were taken to a hospital. Three of the six people had serious injuries. Two others were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security arrived to carry out the corresponding procedures. Traffic was backed up for more than two hours while police, paramedics and firemen worked to clear the scene.
