Tulum, Q.R. — A family lost their home early Saturday morning in a devesting fire. Emergency services were made aware of the house fire around 3:30 a.m. by neighbors in la invasión of the town of Tulum.
The intensity of the fire made it visible for blocks. The home, which was made of wood and metal, burned fast, spreading to other flammable material after being fanned by wind.
The home was completely engulfed by the time firemen arrived. While they were able to fully extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading, they were not able to save it.
Personnel from the Tulum Fire Department are working with local authorities on a cause. There were no injuries reported.
