Tulum, Q.R. — Authorities continue to look for the cause of a fire that consumed two Tulum palapas early Tuesday. Tulum firemen were called to help put out a fire on Kukucán Street that was spreading fast.
Wind gusts helped to fan the flames to a second grass and wood topped roof. Firemen were sent to the scene around 3:00 a.m. where the roofs of two buildings were fully engulfed. One of the buildings was empty. The second was used to store construction materials.
Both buildings were gutted. There were no injuries reported. Authorities continue to investigate the cause for the early morning palapa fires.
