Tulum, Q.R. — After hours of searching Sunday afternoon, divers finally located a cenote drowning victim. The specialized dive team for the recovery of the body was in coordination with Civil Protection and the Tulum Fire Department.
The recovery of the man’s body took place Sunday afternoon in the Calavera cenote located about 8 kilometers north of the town. According to preliminary information, the drowning victim has been identified as 35-year-old Luis “A” who was a tourist.
The man reportedly died of a heart attack while swimming. He was visiting the area with his wife from Los Angeles at the time of the accident.
