Tulum, Q.R. — Crew from both vehicles involved in a highway crash outside the town of Tulum were lucky to walk away. The accident happened between a bus and private truck late Wednesday.
The two vehicle crash left the bus with extensive front-end damage and the truck overturned in the ditch. Firemen were called to the federal highway that runs west from Tulum where they located the accident site.
Three people from inside the truck were evaluated by medical personnel at the scene and found with only minor abrasions. They were treated at the site and released.
The bus was transporting a full load of passengers at the time of the accident. There were no reports of injured bus passengers.
Early information indicates that the pickup was hit by the bus, however, official details surrounding the accident, including the cause, are still under investigation.
