Tulum, Q.R. — Police arrived to a construction site Thursday where they located a dead worker. The deceased man was found by a coworker who just happened by the site.
The man is believed to have died a few days prior to being found.
The coworker who found the body called 9-1-1 who sent police to the site near the archaeological zone entrance. Once there, they confirmed the body of a dead male laying on the ground on pieces of plywood.
Early information indicates the worker is believed to have fallen from the third floor of the building.
The coworker who found the body, Guillermo “N”, said with the arrival of Hurricane Beryl, the workers were sent home and have not yet been called back. The deceased worker has been identified as José Luis “N”. His body was removed by Forensic Medical Services (SEMEFO) for an autopsy.
