Tulum, Q. R. — A construction worker from Chiapas died on his way to a Tulum hospital over the weekend. The man was being transported to hospital in a private vehicle after a workplace fall.
Coworkers placed the seriously injured man in the bed of a pickup where he died before they were able to admit him. Municipal authorities are in search of relatives of the now deceased man, identified as 41-year-old Juan Ruiz Guzmán, so family can claim his body.
Authorities did not provide information on which Tulum construction project he was on at the time of the accident, nor were details provided as to how the accident happened.
