Tulum, Q.R. — An organized search brought home a missing Tulum man Thursday night. The 24 year old had wandered off and was reported missing earlier that day.

Civil Protection worked with family members to look for the missing man. During an intensive search, he was found eight kilometers into deep jungle.
“In coordination with family members, our operational team responded to a report of a missing person eight kilometers into the jungle. After an intensive search, we managed to locate a 24-year-old man, who is mentally impaired, and bring him to safety,” Tulum Civil Protection stated regarding the Thursday rescue.
“At the Tulum Civil Protection and Fire Department, we reaffirm our commitment to the safety and well-being of our citizens every day,” they said.
