Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Five males arrested on narcotic and firearm charges have been sentenced to more than 11 years. On Monday, a Chetumal judge handed down an 11 year and eight month sentence to all five men.
The Attorney General’s Office in Quintana Roo, authorities obtained a conviction against David “H”, Ancelmo “M”, Samuel “C”, José “C” and Román “G” (no photo), for drugs, stockpiling of firearms and possession of cartridges and magazines.
“After intelligence work by the Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico, elements of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) assigned to the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), with the support of the Navy, National Defense Secretariat and the National Guard (GN), carried out a search warrant in January at a home located in Nicolás Bravo, where they arrested these five people,” police reported.

During the search, police located 2.1 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, marijuana; five pistols, three rifles, five carbines, a shotgun, a replica of a firearm, cartridges, chargers and tactical equipment.
A Chetumal judge ordered a sentence of 11 years and eight months in prison for each of the five convicted.
