Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A woman was taken to hospital over the weekend after overturning her car to avoid another driver. Police were at the scene of the single vehicle accident on Colosio Avenue in response to motorist reports of an overturned Nissan.
The female driver was traveling east near Lilis Avenue when she was forced to veer to avoid a motorcycle.
The woman told police the motorcycle driver swerved toward the median, causing her to swerve in response. That swerved left her in an overturned vehicle.
The woman was extracted from her vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries and taken to hospital for observation.
The driver of the motorcycle alleged responsible for the Sunday night accident did not stop.
