Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A motorcyclist who stopped in the shoulder lane of the federal highway was hit by a car and taken to hospital with only a broken leg.
The 22-year-old motorcycle driver was on his way to work at a hotel in Tulum when he stopped along the shoulder of the Playa del Carmen-Tulum highway to adjust his helmet and backpack. While there, he was hit by a car.
Paramedics arrived to transport him to hospital. Police were also on the scene, ordering both vehicles towed.
