Cancun, Q.R. — President of the National Chamber of the Industry of Restaurants and Food Condiments (Canirac) says that only restaurants certified by the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) will be allowed to reopen their doors June 8.
Marcy Bezaleel, head of Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Restaurantes y Alimentos Condimentos (Canirac) for the Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Puerto Morelos regions says in Cancun, more than 1,000 restaurants are preparing to resume activities. In light of this, he explained that Cofepris will review each the establishments ensuring that they comply with hygiene and protocols under the New Normal.
He says 20 steps will be applied to guarantee the health safety of customers, therefore, Cofepris will carry out constant reviews, ensuring that all measures and protocols are complied with. Marcy Bezaleel stressed that la Comisión Federal para la Protección contra Riesgos Sanitarios (Cofepris) is the only authority able to certify hygiene in establishments where food and beverages are sold in Quintana Roo.
