Cancun, Q.R. — A woman was transferred to the Cancun General Hospital after rolling her vehicle in the southern end of the city.
The 34-year-old driver, Gretel D.M., was taken to Cancun hospital with undetermined injuries after she rolled her car, landing in roadside brush. The accident happened around midnight along Avenida 135 near Polígono Sur.
The driver of the Quintana Roo-plated car lost control on a curve, hitting the central ridge where she took out a palm tree before invading the oncoming lane. From there, the car collided with a pile of rocks that caused the vehicle to overturn.
Authorities arrived to deal with the badly damaged car, while paramedics transferred her to hospital.
