Cancun, Q.R. — Six alleged members of a criminal group were captured with drugs and a weapon in SM 249 of Cancun Tuesday.
During routine surveillance, elements of the Quintana Roo Police noticed a vehicle occupant carrying a gun. The vehicle was pulled over and inspected, which is when police reported finding 60 bags of crack cocaine along with marijuana and a rifle with ammunition.
The Yucatan-plated Jetta was pulled over in the Cielo Nuevo subdivision of the city. From inside the vehicle, police report the arrest of Luís Carlos VJ, Julio César GR, Erick Alejandro GG, Jovertti Gamaliel PM, María Patricia PL and Flor Verónica CM.
