Cancun police take down group of alleged business thieves

Cancun, Q.R. — Quick action by Quintana Roo Police resulted in the arrest of five people for the crime of business theft in Cancun.

Their arrests were made after the group allegedly robbed an AT&T in SM 35 of Cancun.

La Policía de Quintana Roo began a search operation for the group after a report of the AT&T robbery on Xcaret Avenue. A description of the suspects and their vehicle by witnesses lead police in the right direction in locating and arresting the group.

The two women and three men arrested have been identified as 41-year-old Ingrid N and 35-year-old Ivonne N along with 41-year-old Jose N, 43-year-old Braulio N and Rodolfo N, also 43.

Their arrest also lead to the seizure of numerous items including four iPhones, five Huawei brand cell phones, two Motorolas, one Samsung and one Hisense phone. They were also found in possession of a firearm and 9 mm cartridges. Their gray Hyundai vehicle was also seized.
