Cancun, Q.R. — A man accused of having sex with a dog has officially been charged. Authorities say Ángel Roberto “N” will stand trial for beastiality after being reported October 25.
The man was seen entering a wooded area with the dog in SM 237 by area residents who reported him to police. He was arrested and the dog rescued.
On Thursday, police said Ángel Roberto “N”, alias “Pelusa”, will stand trial for “his alleged involvement in acts possibly constituting the crime of animal abuse or cruelty.”
In a statement, they said “Ángel Roberto “N”, alias “Pelusa”, is being investigated for events that occurred on October 25 of this year, when he allegedly abused and mistreated a female dog in a park located in Supermanzana 237 of this municipality.
“This person’s actions were evidenced through complaints from neighbors on social media, so personnel from this Social Representation, in coordination with the Secretariats of Citizen Security and Ecology and Environment, implemented an operation for his arrest.
“In addition to ordering the formal charges, the Judge imposed on Ángel Roberto “N” the precautionary measure of preventive detention for a term of two years.”
