Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Canadian man was taken to Playa del Carmen hospital Friday after falling inside a hotel. The accident happened Friday morning inside the Luciana Hotel and Beach Club.
Hotel staff requested an ambulance to the 8th Street address where the man of approximately 60, fell two meters. The man was a guest at the hotel.
After an initial on-site assessment, paramedics stabilized him for a hospital transfer.
Municipal Civil Protection arrived at the hotel in response to a report of the internal accident. Municipal inspectors have begun their own investigation into the accident.
Authorities did not provide information as to how the man fell or where he fell from. His injuries are not reported to be life threatening.
