Body found on Tulum beach identified as local man

Tulum, Q.R. — The body of a man reported missing June 4 in Tulum has been found. On Monday morning, locals walking a beach area saw the body of an adult male washed up on shore.

Authorities have since confirmed the identity of the man. On social media, the FGE posted that on Monday, a man identified as R.D.A.N who was reported as missing June 4 in the municipality of Tulum, was found dead on a municipal beach.

An autopsy revealed the cause of death as suffocation due to submersion and noted that no traces of violence were found. The discovery of the local man identified as 47-year-old Ruben N, was made around 9:00 a.m. Monday to emergency services. He was last seen around 2:00 a.m. Saturday near a Tulum beach club.
