Tulum, Q.R. — Two pedestrians were confirmed dead along the federal highway of Tulum Thursday. The men, two brothers, were victims of an early evening hit and run.

The hit and run happened around 5:30 p.m. between the towns of Muyil and José María Pino Suárez.
National Guard were first on scene to confirm motorist reports of the accident.
Paramedics from Tulum arrived at the scene approximately 23 kilometers south of the town of Tulum. Witnesses reported seeing both men struck by a vehicle before being dragged down the highway.
One body was found on the road. The other several meters away off the shoulder. The driver of the vehicle responsible did not stop. Both men were confirmed dead.

The men have been identified only as Héctor “N” and J. “N”, brothers from the state of Chiapas.
