Othón P. Blanco, Q.R. — Authorities in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco continue with their investigation into a combi gas station crash. The accident happened Sunday at a Nicolás Bravo gas station that left several passengers with minor injuries.
Witnesses reported seeing the driver of the public transport unit lose control before slamming into the metal gas station sign. The van was passing the area when he hit the La Gas sign at a high rate of speed.
Several passengers from inside the combi were treated at the scene for minor abrasions.
The public transport vehicle, which covers the Nicolás Bravo-Chetumal route, was heavily damaged while the gas station sign was completely destroyed.
