Tulum, Q.R. — An armed man was removed from the Aldea Tulum subdivision Wednesday during a police operation. The suspect, identified as 26 year old Adrián Alfredo “N”, was arrested for drug and firearm possession.
According to the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública y Protección Ciudadana de Tulum, the 26 year old was taken into custody during a coordinated operation early Wednesday morning. He was found in possession of nearly 200 street-ready bags of drugs as well as two loaded handguns.
Tulum police say Adrián Alfredo “N” is from Las Choapas, Veracruz and was arrested during a joint effort between the State Attorney General’s Office and the Tulum Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection.
“Thanks to the joint effort between the State Attorney General’s Office and the Tulum Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection, Adrián Alfredo “N,” 26, originally from Las Choapas, Veracruz, was arrested.
“The arrest occurred during a coordinated operation in the early morning of July 23 in the Aldea Tulum neighborhood. The suspect was brought before the FGE for his probable involvement in drug crimes and illegal possession of weapons. We continue working for a safer Tulum,” the agency reported.
