American rushed to hospital from fourth floor fall in Tulum

Tulum, Q.R. — Emergency services rushed an American woman to hospital from a building fall in Tulum Tuesday. The 35 year old woman identified as Mia “N” was taken to hospital after a fourth floor fall.

The incident happened at a hotel along Guardianes Mayas Avenue in the La Veleta neighborhood Tuesday afternoon. The fall was reported to emergency 9-1-1 by witnesses who said the victim had fallen from a height of approximately 12 meters.

Paramedics and Civil Protection personnel arrived at the scene and treated the woman who had suffered severe head trauma and several fractures. She is reported to be in critical condition.

According to preliminary information, the American tourist was a guest at the hotel at the time of the incident. There are reports that Mia “N” was transgender. The fall is being investigated as a possible suicide attempt.
