Tulum, Q.R. — An unidentified man who was the backseat passenger in a Tulum taxi, has been shot to death. The shooting happened Sunday night in the Punta Piedra area of the city.
Police officers along with elements from the National Guard and army arrived to investigate the scene where an alleged confrontation between rival criminal groups was reported. When they arrived, they located a deceased male in the back seat of the taxi. The driver fled, abandoning his unit.
Arrests in the shooting have not been announced.
