José María Morelos, Q.R. — More residents of José María Morelos have retained three additional CFE vehicles. The federal trucks are being held as collateral until the town’s electrical issues are resolved.
The vehicles were seized by upset residents after staff arrived in the trucks arrived to review the issues. Since the matter was not resolved, residents refused to allow the trucks to leave until CFE personnel fix the problem.
Last week, residents of Plan de la Noria Poniente kept a CFE truck as insurance. Area residents say they are tired of the ongoing electrical problems and will give the truck back once service is improved.
It is the fourth Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) vehicle to be held by angry residents in two weeks.
Last month, dozens of area residents protested along the highway due to the ongoing blackouts that they say happen near daily and lasts for hours at a time.
