Suicidal hitman arrested from Playa del Carmen hotel returned to home state

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A suicidal hitman that was arrested from a central Playa del Carmen hotel has been returned to his home state. On Tuesday evening, elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Anti-Kidnapping Prosecutor’s Office of Morelos arrived for his transfer.

The arrest and subsequent transfer was made by Morelos officials in collaboration with the Anti-Kidnapping Prosecutor’s Office of Quintana Roo. According to the State Government of Morelos, Playa del Carmen police completed the arrest warrant issued against Jesús Edgar “N”, alias “Malteadas” or “Chuy” in the city of Playa del Carmen.

He is accused of extortion, homicides, disappearances, drug dealing and vehicle theft in Morelos. He was checked in at a Playa del Carmen hotel using a name of Oscar “N”.

On March 4, hotel staff called police for assistance in a suicide attempt of one of their guests. It was then police learned the man was a wanted criminal in the state of Morelos. Jesús Edgar “N” has been accused of operating in Temixco and the Lázaro Cárdenas and El Ajonjolinar neighborhoods of Cuernavaca.
