Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Hundreds of people found participating in a clandestine party were dispersed by police Sunday night. Over the long weekend, Playa del Carmen police responded to the report of a large party at Finca Yorogana.
Numerous officers were sent to break up the Sunday night festivities. When they arrived, they found hundreds of people inside, none of whom were wearing mouth masks. Solidaridad Police remained on scene until the facility emptied.
Police did not report any arrests or the closure of Finca Yorogana.
On Monday, the entire state of Quintana Roo moved ahead to a yellow epidemiological light after regressing back to orange for two weeks due to a significant increase in covid-19 infections.
