Quintana Roo nominated for 220 Reader’s Choice Awards

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The state of Quintana Roo has been nominated for 220 Reader’s Choice Awards. Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa announced that Quintana Roo endorses, once again, its tourism leadership in the world for its high-quality services, gastronomy, natural beauties and air connectivity by achieving 220 nominations for the Reader’s Choice Awards 2023.

The international magazine that specializes in luxury tourism and lifestyle, Condé Nast Traveler, has announced the nominees for its coveted Reader’s Choice Awards 2023, one of the most prestigious in the world of tourism.

Lezama said that according to the CNTraveler website, Quintana Roo achieved a total of 220 nominations that include Cancun in the category of airports and cities, and in the Islands, Holbox, Cozumel and Isla Mujeres.

According to some of the nominations in the categories of Spa Destinations there were three nominations, for hotels 39 nominations and for Tourist Centers, 141 along with 32 nominations in the Restaurants, Bars and Beach Clubs categories.

Among the most outstanding destinations in the category of hotels and resorts, Playa del Carmen leads the list with 70 nominated establishments, followed by Cancun with 48, Tulum with 27, Isla Mujeres with 12, Puerto Morelos with 10, Cozumel with nine, Chetumal with three and Holbox with three nominations.

The distinction in the number of nominations is a sign of the commitment of all those who are part of the tourism industry in serving visitors, consolidating Quintana Roo as one of the main luxury tourist destinations in Mexico.

Last month, the state of Quintana Roo was nominated for 21 World Travel Awards.
