Bacalar, Q.R. — Two people who were reported missing after leaving Bacalar on a jet ski were found. On Sunday, another search and rescue mission was carried out in Bacalar involving two others reported missing.
The SSP Quintana Roo reported on the mission. “With the support of a Navy plane, the rescue of missing people was achieved. A Navy Persuader plane was used this weekend during the operation implemented by the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace to locate missing people.
Thanks to the intelligence and search work with canines, tours, inspections and a Navy plane, various people reported missing were found alive.”
The Persuader aircraft registration ANX-1123 arrived in Bacalar Saturday morning and located two missing people in the vicinity of Bacalar, who were located in Xtomoc after leaving on a jet ski.
The SSP did not provide details on how the jetski pair came to be reported as missing or if they were local residents or tourists.
On Saturday, three men were reported kidnapped from the municipality of Bacalar. Two were found alive separate from the third man, who was reported located alive on Sunday.
