New Bacalar ADO expected operational for October

Bacalar, Q.R. — A new ADO bus station for the town of Bacalar is expected to be operational in October. Juan Manuel Diaz, the Commercial Manager of the southern border area for ADO says construction is expected to last around seven months.

Construction for the new ADO (Autobuses de Oriente) began in March of this year. The new station is in response to an increased demand for the service. The new Bacalar ADO bus station is being built along the federal 307 highway and is expected to serve around 10,000 travelers per month.

Manuel Diaz says once complete, the new station will offer bus passenger service to the airports of Cancun and Tulum as well as with the terminals of Mérida and Chiapas.
