Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Another beach sweep in Playa del Carmen has resulted in the removal of illegal structures and furniture. This time, police swept a large beach area outside Playacar in the city’s center.
On Thursday morning, authorities carried out a joint intervention in coordination with the Group for Peace and Security in Quintana Roo. Numerous pieces of beach furniture were seized by authorities who hauled it away, ensuring free passage and the elimination of illegal structures.
Their sweep comes only days after authorities raided the same beach area where 36 people were arrested on drug-related charges.
