Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Solidaridad police responded to reports of a broad daylight shooting in Playa del Carmen Tuesday. At the scene, police found the body of a deceased Colombian man.
He was located laying on Camachos Street in the Pescadores I subdivision in Playa del Carmen. He had been shot in the head. Resident witnesses were able to describe the two vehicles involved in the targeted attack.
According to reports, the Colombian man was approached on his motorcycle by a car and a truck at which time he drew a gun from a fanny pack at his waist. His attackers shot him before he was able to fire his weapon.
His body was left lying near the intersection of Camachos Street and Gansos Avenue. Police deployed a search operation to find the vehicles described by witnesses, however, there have not been any official reports of arrests.
