Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Municipal police have confirmed the death of a man inside a Playa del Carmen hotel. The man was discovered by cleaning staff Wednesday afternoon inside his hotel room along 38th Avenue. Officials were notified by the hotel and responded to the emergency call.
When they arrived, they located a deceased male laying on the floor of his room. According to police, the body did not show signs of violence. Paramedics also arrived to confirm the death. The body was removed from the room by forensic medical personnel who will perform an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
The man has been identified as 37-year-old Peter N of English origin. He is believed to have been a visitor to the area.
Last week, a woman of English origin was found deceased in her Playa del Carmen apartment after the building manager came to collect rent. The woman had been deceased for several days before being discovered. An autopsy revealed her death was of natural causes.
