Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The main suspect in the recent shoot up of the home of a Playa del Carmen commander has been arrested. On Friday, Federal Ministerial Police arrested 27 year old José Luis “N”, alias El Rappi, who is originally from Chetumal.
José Luis “N” is credited with being the head hitmen for criminal group La Chapiza in the northern part of the state. He is known to use the name El Rappi, mimicking the motorcycle food delivery company, as a public disguise for his circulating gang members.
José Luis “N” was taken into custody Friday afternoon and transferred to Cancun for the November 25 bullet attack against the home of the Municipal Undersecretary of Citizen Security William “B”.
Municipal Preventive Police and agents from the office of the General Attorney assisted with the arrest. When being taken into custody, police are reported to have located approximately one and a half kilos of cocaine and a 9-millimeter caliber pistol with a loaded magazine.
