Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R — A second vehicle containing 210 kilos of cocaine was discovered Monday during a search operation by military personnel after the landing of an illegal plane used to transport drugs.
Elements of the Mexican Army discovered the second vehicle, an SUV, hidden along a jungle road on the municipal outskirts. Inside the abandoned vehicle were several bricks of cocaine that amounted to approximately 210 kilos. The SUV was discovered about 300 meters from the José María Morelos police filter. This find was in addition to the 390 kilos of cocaine discovered in the bed of a pickup truck the day before.
Both are believed to be the cargo of the illegal Hawker 700A that was found burning along the Mérida-Chetumal federal highway Sunday.
