Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — Of the recently arrived 200 marines, 50 have already been assigned to the municipality of Solidaridad. On Tuesday, Mayor Lili Campos said “we will not give up. We remain firm, uniting, reinforcing ourselves. We are going to continue advancing in the construction of peace in the municipality.”
Campos reported that currently, 960 elements are being coordinated, while adding that the city already has the equipment for the installation of the new Playa del Carmen control center, which will function as a mirror of the Cancun C5.
Rubén Oyarvide, head of the Secretary of Public Security in Quintana Roo, explained that “the 200 marines who arrived in recent days will join the federal and state elements in the municipalities of Solidaridad, Tulum and Benito Juárez.”
