Valladolid, Yucatan — Two men from the state of Quintana Roo were arrested in the city of Valladolid Tuesday. Both men are facing narcotics charges after being found in possession of cannabis and crystal meth.
“Investigative agents from the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and with the support of federal forces, arrested two men in the city of Valladolid for their alleged involvement in drug-related offenses,” the SSP of Yucatan reported.

In custody are 26 year old Cesar L.P. and 41 year old Luis Alberto H.C., both from Quintana Roo.
According to the report and the information gathered, the operation took place in the Flamboyanes neighborhood of Valladolid where an exchange was observed, prompting a preventive search and subsequent arrest.
During the operation, substances with characteristics of cannabis and methamphetamine (crystal meth) were seized, as well as cash.
The detainees and the seized items were turned over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal proceedings.
