Mérida, Yucatan — A tragic accident along the Mérida-Campeche federal highway has left one dead and 13 others injured.
The accident occurred between a passenger van and a tractor trailer who was reportedly traveling slowly due to heavy fog. Fredy M, the driver of the passenger van, crashed into the trailer after failing to see the large unit.
The passenger van was heading to the city of Mérida with 15 passengers on board when the accident happened. A female front-seat passenger was killed in the crash. She died on scene. At least 13 others were injured in the high-impact collision.
