Yucatán health officials continue to wait on patient coronavirus results

Mérida, Yucatán — The Yucatán Ministry of Health confirmed that they have two patients suspected of having contracted coronavirus (Covid-19), one from South Korea and the other from Italy.

La Secretaría de Salud de Yucatán says the two patients are already in isolation and have been treated according to the protocols established internationally for these cases.

The health authority indicates that samples have been taken, which were sent to the State Public Health Laboratory, to confirm or rule out the presence of the virus, for which they are still waiting for results.

La Secretaría de Salud de Yucatán says that two other suspected coronavirus cases have been ruled out after showing some mild symptoms, however, their laboratory results came back negative.
