Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A young woman reported for attempted extortion was caught and handcuffed from Colosio in Playa del Carmen. Police from the Secretariat of Public Security of Solidaridad arrested her after a business owner reported her to 911.
With a physical description, police were able to locate her after she left two threat messages at the business on 30th Avenue and 94 Street. She was found a few blocks away from the business and returned to the store where a positive identification was made by the victim.
Arrested for attempted extortion was 22-year-old Ingrid “N” from Tabasco. Police also collected the two threat messages she left behind demanding money.
