Balukax, Q.R. — A young woman of Italian origin was found dead in her home in the municipality of José María Morelos, southwest of Tulum. The 29-year-old woman was discovered by neighbors in her Balukax home Saturday.
Neighbors rushed her to hospital after she was found suspended by her neck. She was reportedly cut down and taken to hospital in a private vehicle. Neighbors said that the woman, Silvia N, had just moved into the home and was still settling.
Municipal police arrived at the hospital Saturday to take statements. Additional information has not been provided. Her death is being treated as a suicide.
