Bacalar, Q.R. — The family of a young man who went fishing Saturday found him drowned inside a body of water. The drowning happened near the town of Nuevo Israel Saturday when the young man is alleged to have gone fishing for shrimp.
When the 21-year-old failed to return home, his family began a search. They found him early Sunday morning dead inside a body of water in Felipe Carrillo Puerto, an area south of Tulum.
Authorities were notified of what is believed to be a drowning. An autopsy will determine the official cause of death.
