Xcaret begins operations between Isla Mujeres and the Cancun Hotel Zone

Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Another ferry service has begun operations, running a route between Isla Mujeres and Cancun. Xcaret Xailing by Grupo Xcaret, began operating their specific-run route on Monday.

The company began offering the service with their two vessels, which runs between Isla Mujeres and Kilometer 4.5 of the Cancun Hotel Zone. Alicia Ricalde Magaña, head of the Comprehensive Port Administration of Quintana Roo (Apiqroo), stated that the operations of the new route will contribute to the tourist development that the destination currently has for being an internationally recognized brand.

In the company of Isla Mujeres mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, the president and CEO of Grupo Xcaret, Miguel Quintana Pali, said that their presence, which has a worldwide position, also favors investment and growth on the island.

The company began sailing with its two vessels, Xcaret and Xel-Há, each with a capacity for 650 passengers. The vessels leave Isla Mujeres and set sail for the Xcaret Torre Escénica del Embarcadero de Cancún in the Cancun Hotel Zone where passengers disembark.
