Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A worn section of Playa del Carmen’s 10th Avenue is being replaced. City officials said the project to replace the worn stones will start soon and take about three months to complete.
Fabián Herrera, Undersecretary of Infrastructure and Public Works of Solidaridad, reported that the city will be resurfacing the road from Benito Juárez to Constituyentes Avenue.
A timetable is currently being worked out with 10th Avenue businesses along that section of road so as to have the least amount of disruption.
“Currently on 10th we have a problem due to many potholes and subsidence. The useful life of the stones has already expired,” he said. The project will be tendered in two stages, he added, explaining that the project, end-to-end, will be done by two companies in a period of three months.
