Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — An ambulance transferred an injured construction worker to hospital Tuesday after a work site accident. The worker, Albañil “N”, was taken by ambulance after suffering a third-story fall.
The accident happened at a centrally located Playa del Carmen construction site. Medical personnel responded to the request for an ambluance at the 34th Avenue site between 30th and 35th.
The worker reportedly fell into an area that caused him to become trapped. Solidaridad firemen and personnel from Civil Protection were at the scene. Firemen were requested to aid in the removal of the trapped worker.
The injured worker was transferred to hospital from the Zazil-Ha area around noon with head trauma, among other injuries, after falling from the under-construction building. According to preliminary information, the man was not wearing a harness at the time of the accident.
