Woman wanted for 2020 Playa del Carmen murder captured

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Maria Dolores “N”, the main suspect in a 2020 Playa del Carmen murder, has been captured. On Saturday, the State Attorney General’s (FGE) Office reported on the capture of the woman believed responsible for the death of a Playa del Carmen woman.

Maria Dolores “N” was served an arrest warrant “for her probable participation in the crime of qualified homicide for events that occurred on August 17, 2020,” the FGE stated.

The accused, María Dolores “N”, after an argument with the victim regarding the sale of a property, repeatedly hit the woman on the head and neck, who, after being transferred to the General Hospital of Playa del Carmen, died due to a head injury, they said.

The Special Prosecutor’s Office in Homicide obtained the arrest warrant against María Dolores “N”, which was completed by agents of the Investigative Police on North 52nd Street with 10th Avenue in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.

The accused has since been transferred to the Social Readaptation Center (CERESO) in Cancun.
